Adoption Update: Landslide

We first spotted Landslide in the window at Petsmart and were immediately transfixed. The black and white markings! The grumpy face! The chonky bod! After following her story on Instagram, we knew we had to meet her and that's all she wrote.

Landslide won us over with her sassy personality. We could tell she was hesitant to trust strangers but when she felt safe in her chosen space, she LOVED a good, strong ear scratch.

Well, it’s been ~16 months since we adopted her and she is an incredible joy in our lives. We took her home only a few days before the Chicago quarantine and are so grateful we got to spend so much time with her and have her there to entertain us during such a strange, hard time. Landslide still has her boundaries and isn’t exactly what you’d call a “lap cat”, but she is the most playful cat we have ever seen and adores chasing laser pointers and strings all around our apartment. She’s even become a big fan of YouTube “bird shows/cat videos” and may or may not be slowly training us to turn them on for her (playful leg rub + run to the foot of the bed + stare at the human then back at TV? We’re putty in her paws).

Adding Landslide to our family has been amazing. She's such a sweet and sassy cat with so much personality. Landslide is so much fun and has honestly been a huge boost of joy at a much needed time. She's our bestie.
